Technic Update and MCX360 reviews

Everyone's favorite modpack updated a while back, but I never investigated. Turns out, it's more awesome than ever. Steve's carts is back!!!

I recently acquired MCX360, and will be posting reviews soon. Make sure you grab the Halloween skin pack, all money goes to charity.

Minecraft-Technic pack!

I have just discovered an amazing mod for minecraft. It's more of a mod pack, but has seperate data files and a launcher. In the launcher, you can choose to boot several mod packs, including Technic, YogBox, VoxelBox, and my favorite, Hack Slash Mine. Just boot up the launcher, select your modpack, and log in, you'll see what i'm talking about!

Minecraft 1.3.1 OUT!

Finally, Mojang has released the highly anticipated 1.3.1 update! Unfortuatley, many mods have not yet updated, so i'm sticking with 1.2.5.

Minecraft 1.3 Changelog!

Minecraft 1.3 will be coming out in a while. You'd better get ready!
Here are some things coming in 1.3:

Pyrymids
They spawn randomly in the desert
They have a trap room with chests and diamonds... But also TNT traps!


Sandstone Villages
If a normal village spawns in a desert... It becomes a Sandstone Village!

Desert Well
A sandstone well that spawns in deserts, seperate from desert villages.

Jungle Temples
An Uber-Cool, trap-filled temple that spawns in jungles.


Tripwires
A... well... tripwire!
Sends a redstone charge if you trip it.
Also adds placable string.


Emeralds
A new ore that you use to trade with Villagers, and emerald blocks.
also Villager trading: Right click to trade!


Ender Chests!
Well, basically cloud storage for your items.


Writeable Books!
AKA book and quill. Finally. This feature is awesome! Combine with Ender Chests to make a kind of Wikipedia!

How to install (Mac)
Go to the folder Library (may be hidden)
Click on a folder inside, called Application Support
Click on the folder called Minecraft
Click on the folder Bin
Rename minecraft.jar as minecraft2.jar
drag in the other minecraft.jar that was downloaded into the same folder
Done!

Windows how to install coming soon!

How to uninstall (mac)
Go into the same bin folder as before when you were installing
Rename minecraft.jar to minecraft3.jar
rename minecraft2.jar to minecraft.jar
Done!

Minecraft Mods- The Aether

I have just downloaded an awesome mod for Minecraft. The mod, dubbed the Aether mod, adds a whole new dimension to Minecraft. This is a huge sky dimension, populated with over a dozen new mobs. The terrain is made up of many floating islands. The mod adds new aether-only ores as well, such as ambrosium and gravitite. Many new items are added, such as the Hammer of Notch and the Cow slayer.
The only downside of the Aether mod is that it downgrades you to minecraft 1.0. Check it out here!
